The event was organized by the Province of Bologna within the DESUR European project and it represented an opportunity for discussion on the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility with particular attention to responsible innovation in SMEs.

During the event, the results of the international benchmarking research carried out within the project to analyze the approach to CSR by SMEs located in the countries involved were illustrated. A copy of the volume, published by FrancoAngeli, was distributed to the participants.

The meeting held on 27th May also gave ample space to companies. In fact, the representatives of some local enterprises have intervened, successfully declining the approach to CSR.

The contributions and interventions that took place during the initiative have shown that CSR can also be applied successfully to small and medium-sized companies and that it can be a development lever capable of involving the territory and all its components.
