These initiatives bring together citizens, businesses, and institutions to collectively produce, manage, and consume renewable energy.

A recent study within the JETforCE project highlights the key role of Energy Communities in achieving energy independence, reducing carbon emissions, and fostering economic and social development. The report explores their legal framework, socio-economic impact, technological requirements, and policy recommendations to enhance their implementation.

Successful case studies, such as Enel X and Ferrari’s Renewable Energy Community in Fiorano and Maranello, demonstrate the potential of these projects. Similarly, initiatives like “Top Condomini” focus on residential energy efficiency, proving that community-driven solutions are essential for an inclusive energy transition.
