A linear economy is no longer sustainable, territorial security cannot be separated from the environment, and eco-system services must be strengthened: for years, The Metropolitan City of Bologna has placed sustainability in its environmental sense at the forefront.
The Research, Innovation and European Project Management Service fosters the comparison, at the European level, of good practices related to sustainability. It develops strategies, policies and processes to support SMEs in climate change adaption, energy efficiency, renewable energy use and green transition, fostering the growth of opportunities in new market areas. Collaborates on the design of models, tools, and research for urban regeneration and redevelopment, air quality improvement, urban green preservation, and public awareness.
