Project: Human Power Hub

Programme: URBACT

Duration: November 2025 – April 2028

Objective:

The objective of the Human Power Hub (HPH) project is to transfer and strengthen a social innovation model focused on employability, social inclusion, and sustainable urban development. The project aims to create collaborative local ecosystems that connect public administrations, businesses, universities, civil society organizations, and citizens to co-design solutions to key social and employment-related challenges in local territories.

The goal is to transfer to other European countries the good practices of the Human Power Hub developed in Braga (Portugal), within a previous project. Through the transfer of this good practice, HPH seeks to strengthen the capacity of partner cities to implement integrated and participatory urban policies for employment, social inclusion, and innovation, promoting a scalable and replicable model in different European contexts.

Main activities:

The partners of the HPH project will work on the creation of local Human Power Hubs, conceived as physical spaces and territorial collaboration platforms for social innovation and employment.

Through co-design processes and peer learning, partner cities will:

  • adapt the HPH model to their local context;
  • activate local multi-stakeholder groups (public authorities, businesses, universities, third sector organizations, citizens);
  • pilot new service models for employability, skills development, and social entrepreneurship;
  • integrate the HPH model into local urban policies.
