Website: https://www.interregeurope.eu/cesme/
Social: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
Tematica: Smarter, Greener
Programme: Interreg Europe
Lifetime: April 2016 – March 2023

Goal:

CESME's goal is to support small and medium-sized enterprises that want to adopt a circular approach by turning environmental issues into business opportunities. The circular economy is based on optimising systems rather than individual components, and small and medium-sized enterprises should be accompanied step by step along this path. CESME+ was launched in October 2022 as a continuation of CESME in order to further improve the skills of decision-makers in the circular economy. During the first phase, actions focused on recovery from the Covid19 pandemic crisis, with a study on the impact in partner.

Main actions:

The project promotes an interregional learning process through a roadmap to guide SMEs in their move towards adopting circular solutions and approaches. The main focus will be:

  • the exchange of experiences
  • the identification and sharing of support tools for SMEs,
  • the identification of good practices,
  • the estimation of economic and social benefits,
  • the production of a guidebook.

All initiatives will be carefully tested, monitored and readjusted on the basis of the feedback collected, in order to develop highly replicable tools throughout Europe.
