Goal:

The objective of the SinCE-AFC project is to improve policies on regional innovation strategies by facilitating horizontal mechanisms that support and promote entrepreneurship of SMEs in the agrifood sector through the exploitation of circular economy opportunities. SinCE-AFC thus aims to engage SMEs in the agrifood supply chain in the circular economy through the promotion of appropriate management and horizontal financial mechanisms. The project also aims to strengthen cooperation between regional authorities and agribusiness operators in order to create new business opportunities and promote the principles of the circular economy also among agribusiness entrepreneurs.

Main actions:

The project promotes an interregional learning process in two phases; starting with the exchange of good practices, it develops methods and concrete measures to improve the partners' policy choices.

  • Phase 1 is the central phase and runs over 6 semesters. It is built on the exchange of knowledge and experience between partners for the integration and implementation of good practices, through the creation of local support groups (LSGs) formed by stakeholders, constant meetings, study visits, workshops and local action plans.
    • Phase 2 foresees the implementation of local action plans with stakeholder involvement and support, their monitoring and the presentation of results at transnational level during a high-level political event
