The REPper – REPair PERspective project, funded by the Interreg Euro-Med program, aims to strengthen the repair economy in Europe by supporting SMEs, improving repair skills, and promoting sustainable consumer choices.
A core element of the project is the establishment of eight transnational hubs across the countries that are participating in the project - Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, and Spain. Each country is developing either a physical, a digital or hybrid hub, focusing on a specific repair sector.
The Metropolitan City of Bologna, Lead Partner of the project, has chosen to create a physical hub dedicated to the repair of small electronic objects. This space will serve as a focal point for technicians and citizens interested in learning and sharing repair skills.
REPper hubs will not just be service centers but true innovation laboratories, where citizens and SMEs can develop new services, participate in training programs, and contribute to a stronger circular economy local network.
The REPper Hubs will foster co-creation among businesses, citizens and institutions, promoting the right to repair and reducing the environmental impact of premature product disposal.
