On June 26, 2025, a stakeholder meeting promoted by the Metropolitan City of Bologna took place within the framework of the European project INTERREG Europe MINEV – Waste Minimization in Large Events .
The webinar involved municipal administrators from the metropolitan area to explore and explain the opportunities offered by the ATERSIR Call for Proposals (Territorial Agency of Emilia-Romagna for Water and Waste Services): a non-repayable grant fund for the implementation of integrated systems aimed at reducing waste, with particular focus on sustainability at large events.
During the webinar, the following were illustrated:
Among these, the project "In comune: la stoviglioteca" (2023) was presented, carried out by the Municipalities of Sasso Marconi, Monte San Pietro, and Marzabotto, already funded by the
ATERSIR funding
. This virtuous experience provided the municipalities with a shared set of reusable tableware for public events, promoting reuse and reducing single-use items.
A replicable model, designed for organizers of cultural events, fairs, festivals, and public gatherings who want to do so in a sustainable way.
