The Renaissance of living together (Nancy, Francia; 17-18 ottobre 2013)

- Antiracism work: A core task for municipalities -

Cities are accountable for social ties, and must, today more than ever, promote “the renaissance of living together”.
In order to support social and cultural blending, European cities joined forces in a coalition against racism.
The European Coalition of Cities Against Racism (ECCAR) endeavours to underpin solutions through its 10-points action plan, and to ensure that respect, diversity and solidarity always prevail.
As an international body built on city continental networks, the European Coalition aims, on the basis of a cooperation with all the institutions, organisations and people who share its values, at developing the struggle against racism and discrimination.
To this end, it organises every two years a General Conference in a European country, focused on promoting the exchanges of  good practices between member cities.
