The Metropolitan Table for Safeguarding the Productive Heritage

The Metropolitan Table for Safeguarding the Productive Heritage is a place where mediation and concertation take place in order to establish the proper conditions to safeguard productive activities and employment in the metropolitan area.

In 2015, the Metropolitan City inherited the Province of Bologna's longstanding experience in the field of crises and business transformation.

The Metropolitan Table was created in 2004, out of the desire to systematise and strengthen an activity that had already been widely carried out by the Economic Development Sector since 1999. The role of the Table has, however, intensified from 2008 onwards, following the strong impact the economic crisis has had also in the territory of Bologna. About 800 business cases have been dealt in the last 12 years.
